Peace

For I know the plans I have for you,

declares the Lord,

plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

My sister continues to suffer with stage 4 colon cancer in her bones. Since Thanksgiving she has been unable to see clearly because of a fluid build up which is causing inflammation behind her eyes. She has been home unable to drive, read, view any kind of screen…even send or receive texts on her phone. They are unable, so far, to determine what is causing it and so are unable to treat it properly. In addition, they have found a mitral valve prolapse in her heart and she will need two procedures and probably surgery to repair it.

I am so sad for her.

And the peace of the Lord, which surpasses all understanding

will guard your hearts and your minds, in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

  1. Watching someone we love suffer seems, to me, harder than suffering ourselves. May God help and comfort your sister, you and all who love her.

  2. I can’t imagine how much it hurts to watch your sister go through this. I love all three of my sisters so much. May God please send healing to your sister and peace to your heart.

  3. I am so very sorry. It must seem like peace is so very far away from you right now. I will pray for her, for a fast and correct diagnosis and a cure for her eyes. Blessings to you, my friend!
