Seeking Sabbath

Here this, you who trample on the needy and bring the poor of the land to an end…

Amos 8:4

I didn’t continue with the verse. For those of us who truly try to know the heart of Jesus we should know without reading how he expects us to behave in regard to the poor and the needy.

  1. The needs are overwhelming and so I think we tend to not know where or how to begin to help the poor and needy. Perhaps it starts with a willing heart and then a prayer for God to show us our own place of who and how to help.

  2. So true on automatically knowing not to trample the poor and needy. Trampling anyone is not a good thing. We are taught by Jesus to have a loving heart.

  3. This bread looks too gorgeous to cut and eat! Jesus’ heart was really with the poor and needy.

  4. Literally food for thought. When we help the poor, we help Jesus. Thank you for sharing.
