I am not quite ready to say goodbye to our rather tiny island.
I spend my days readying us for our new home in our old town flat.
We will be in half the space…and there is much to let go of.
At first it was enjoyable…fun even. But now….the real nitty gritty.
I find myself saying goodbye…Slán agat…in pieces. The old comfy chair that I spent so much time curled up in, the dining room table where we put together puzzles as a family on Christmas Eve, the beds that Joe and I made for the boys…
We drove past the kite surfers on the way back home this afternoon and as we watched them sail across the water we noted to one another that we certainly would miss seeing them.
I’ve been doing nothing but packing forever and ever. I am so ready to curl up in a new chair, in a new place.
Two more weeks!
