up

from the window at my desk, or from the window in the kitchen I can see the softball fields in the park across the way. I know that come summer the girls softball team will be out there playing. I can’t help but think of all you will miss.

I wish you were here.

  1. The older I get, the less I understand about life and why love must always lead to loss and grief in the end. I have to remind myself often that love is eternal.. But, even knowing this–believing it–doesn’t make it any easier to face the pain of loss of today. Life is short, but it feels long when our beautiful loved ones pass before us. My heart is with you. ♥
